And so the harvest begins...

We have now begun the harvest, cutting our lavender that we grow specifically for dry. Our son Chris and his family (wife Sarah and daughter Maddie) are home from Perth on holiday and experiencing the harvest first hand for the first time. The lavender is cut into bunches and hung in our shed to dry. Once dry, we rub and sift it to get rid of the stalks and are left with the gorgeous purple flower heads that can be used in sachets etc to scent your drawers. We also sell a range of Beaudisse & Boodles products that use the dry lavender in heat packs, sleep pillows, eye masks and bonbons (drawer sachets).

We hope to start the main harvest (lavender which is cut and distilled to extract the oil) in the next few days, weather dependant. Do call out and watch the cutting and distilation process.
